“From the moment he came on stage, one could read from his radiant face and glowing eyes, that his work is not just a profession, but a calling. Rather than stoically “painting” his quarter notes, he led the orchestra with expressive, boundless physicality and deeply inspired passion through the pinnacles of musical repertoire, upon which he simultaneously imparted his own distinctive fingerprint – and all this completely from memory, without a score! The musicians allowed themselves to be swept away by their young, dynamic Maestro, and precisely followed each of his movements.”
– Marion Wittenzellner (Neue Passauer Presse)

“He conducts in a highly original, unconventional fashion – economically, without exaggeration.”
– Adam Rozlach (Polish Radio 1/TVP Kultura)

“Löhner has all this effective symphonic writing firmly in the palm of his hand, and finds expression within a historically informed framework…Löhner knows the score perfectly, by heart. The public was certainly thrilled with [his] temperament and concise leadership…as well as the boundless commitment he elicited from his musicians.”
– Uwe Mitsching (Nürnberger Nachrichten)
